All aspects of intellectual property law focusing on the preparation and prosecution of patents including the acquisition, licensing and enforcement of patent rights, trademark rights, trade secrets, and copyrights. Assists and counsels clients in the preparation of domestic and foreign patent applications, infringement opinions, patentability opinions and validity opinions, and appeals to the Board of Patent Appeals and Interferences of the Untied States Patent and Trademark Office.
BIOGRAPHY
Michael has prepared and prosecuted hundreds of domestic and foreign patent applications in a broad range of industries and technologies, including software, control systems, data storage, information systems, telecommunications, systems and tools for hydrocarbon production and development, geothermal, fluid dynamics, materials science, aviation, aerospace, medical devices, automotive, heavy equipment, railroad, manufacturing, packaging, coating, molding, nanotechnologies, and numerous other types of mechanical and electromechanical industries. Michael’s litigation experience includes patent infringement, trademark infringement, unfair competition, copyright infringement, and breach of contract involving intellectual property.
